The latest thing on the timpani scene is the new Revolution timpani from Adams. With more customers wanting timpani that can be stored and transported easier, yet still with pedals and a quality sound, Adams introduced the Revolutions a few years ago.

Since then they have been an amazing success throughout the timpani world. The novel design allows it to be one of the most portable pedal timpani ever made. Building on their Universal timpani design, (which has retractable legs making portability and storage so easy), Adams have now developed a system where the bowl can be fully removed (without tools) from the base and still maintain its head tension.
The base itself folds and locks, and can be easily carried using the built-in handle. The oversized double locking swivel castors, combined with the permanently installed locking third wheel assembly on the pedal, help the Revolution drums glide along with finger-tip effort.
A built-in fine tuner gives great versatility, especially to players wishing to use calf heads.The range on the Revolution drums is excellent:

23" from a C to high A,
26" a fine low F to a bright F,
29" from a good quality low E to a clear D,
32" goes from a low D to B
